Seit ihrem ersten Konzert im Dezember 2010 ist die Gruppe Txarango eine Entdeckung. Die jungen Musiker, die aus dem Multi-Kulti-Viertel Raval in Barcelona stammen, haben mit Cumbia-, Salsa-, Ska- und anderen lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen Plätze und Hallen gefüllt – mit mehr als 100 Konzerten in einem Jahr in Katalonien, Spanien, Frankreich, Belgien und Dänemark, wo sie mit ihrem ausgelassenen und forschen Auftritt einen großen Publikumserfolg hatten.
Ihre erste Aufnahme, Benvinguts al llarg viatge, ist bereits 85.000 mal im Internet heruntergeladen worden, und die Follower ihrer Seiten in den sozialen Netzwerken werden immer mehr. 2013 erhielten sie viele herausragende Preise der Musikkritik, Publikumspreise und der professionellen Musikindustrie, die sowohl den Wert ihrer Aufnahme, die Kraft ihrer Liveauftritte sowie ihre Connection zum Publikum erkannt haben. Zum Abschluss ihrer katalanischen Tournee füllten sie den modernistischen Musikpalast Palau de la Música von Barcelona, eine der emblematischsten Bühnen des Landes, auf denen schon die bedeutendsten nationalen und internationalen Künstler auftraten.
Nachdem sie auf dem Pariser Buchsalon, bei den Falles von Valencia und beim spanischen Massenfestival, dem ViñaRock, aufgetreten sind, kommt Txarango dieses Jahr nach Berlin, um in der deutschen Hauptstadt Sant Joan zu feiern, bevor es weitergeht nach Holland, Italien und England.

There have been 365 incredible days. Living on wheels, bringing our lives to the fullest. A year full of people and full of moments that we’ll never forget.
Since the streets of Felip Neri square, playing and singing together and hidding away the police, until make vibrate the sleeping city with 40.000 rebel shouts in Fòrum Parc.
We’ve seen squares, streets, neighborhoods, towns and cities! We’ve seen how dance the history on 11th of September!!
We remember Berga’s court, place that we completed of solidarity against Crohn disease.
